Today I chat with Carla Esparza, a pioneer female fighter in the MMA world and 2 time UFC champion, about her history as a fighter and how it's shifted as she's entered motherhood in the past year. We chat about what training looked like during pregnancy and her current plan to postpartum. Above all, Carla exemplifies the meaning of athletic maturity as she is patient with the process of returning to sport with a lifetime of athleticism as the goal.
